How to explore Mistral Large 4 for free
Separate free website features, proposed chat allowances, provider API access and self-hosting costs.

What is free on this site
You can read the guides, use the cost calculator and create an email/password account without payment. Browser-local history and export are part of the interface. Real model generation is not connected, so an account does not currently grant live Large 4 responses.
Proposed free allowance
Our planned Free service provides 100 credits each day, resetting at midnight UTC+8. The allowance is a workspace proposal, not Mistral API credit. Longer context and output can consume more credits once model billing is configured. Demo credits have no monetary value.
Try a prompt
Choose a sample on the home page, edit it and continue to chat. A signed-out visitor is asked to sign in before sending; the draft is retained. During local demo mode the response is a fixed fixture and is clearly marked. Do not mistake a fixture for a model evaluation.
Official provider access
Check Mistral Studio for your account’s current eligibility, quotas and charges. Creating a website account here does not create a Mistral account or API key. API access and any trials are controlled by the provider.
Free weights are not free infrastructure
Open weights may allow deployment under their published license, but hardware, storage, power and operations still have costs. Confirm the actual release and license before downloading. Weight-only memory estimates are not a deployment guarantee.
Keep control of your data
Use sample or authorized material while exploring. Chat history stays in your browser unless an explicitly enabled sync service is available. Export anything you want to retain before clearing browser storage.
